

The mockumentary format makes for a structural analogue of the workers’ positions-they are at once atomized in their individual interviews and wholly absorbed into their workplace. Under the show’s faux-documentary conceit, employee characters give talking-head interviews, in which they variously express fear or delight at the prospect of losing their jobs: fear of losing money necessary to support their lives, delight at finally being able to do something they care about.
